Busy Couple of weeks!!

This summer seems like it is flying by! So, Ryan officially sold his house, we moved him out last week....now its crunch time to find a house. Lots of great things have been going on. Becky had her baby as all of you know, Rebecca came to visit last week and Ryan moved back to Chicago all in the same week!!! Woo hoo..... below are pictures from all the events. The very last couple of pictures are from my very first Nascar race. I know....most of you are like, what? But, Ryan had to work the event and then we got free tickets. It was quite exciting and it had my favorite...a flyover!!!!!

Most of us were able to welcome Rebecca back to Chicago for a couple weeks and we all went for dinner and drinks. Before that, I got to meet new little Cole...so adorable.....such a great baby and sooooooooo cute. I love being a pretend aunt!!

So, now what? lots of house hunting, almost 4 weeks till the triathlon and enjoy the rest of the summer....

World's largest truck stop on the way to his house

His office

Upstairs deck (there are all houses back there now)

Downstairs

Kitchen and part of living room

Ryan's house is sold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The process has been going on for awhile now since his relocation company has to handle it after the bid is accepted but it is official and the moving truck is picking up Ryan's things next Friday. It is exciting but I know its a little sad for him too as he has to say goodbye to first house and wonderful neighbors. We have a wedding there in a couple weeks...so we can see them all again....I really enjoyed it there too and will miss my visits :) but so happy a million times over that Ryan will be here officially again. Next up....where is Ryan to live? Thanks to Kelly's mom, we have been looking at houses for Ryan to possibly buy. Not sure where, each week we research a new city and price ranges, etc....Its been fun too to see what's out there. So many foreclosures. This is such a crazy time in the world right now. I will keep you posted on his future residence :) Until then, its 2600 my shoebox lane. Above are pictures I took when he first moved in just over 2 years ago.....

I have been out of the loop!!!

So....Happy late 1st birthday to beautiful blue eyed Erica! Her bday was on the 4th of July. Ryan and I decided last minute to head to the Dells for the weekend ( i think we are starting a tradition) but we wanted to go to Erica's bday first. It was a lot of fun and a perfect weather day for the party. After that, we flew up to the Dells since most everyone was already at their parties...for once, no traffic!!! We stayed at the Wilderness, which was awesome. Last 4th we went to the Great Wolf lodge. I love, love the water slides!!!! I think I want to come there every year. My grandparents lived in the Dells and we would go up there all the time when I was little but we never did all the touristy stuff. We got free passes to Tommy Barlett from the Wilderness...go figure since there is no water. But, they have a good sense of humor about things and we watched the air and laser part. Overall, it was a really nice weekend. Below are some pics!!!

Just checking in.....

Not a lot to report this week so I thought I would just say hello! There is a slight chance of an offer on Ryan's house....and then at the same time, his car got broken into AGAIN!!!!! and his laptop and camara..yada yada....gone......we live in such a crazy and dishonest world...I tell you!!!

My first triathlon group met last night. It is a really nice group of supportive women. I am excited but.....I think I have a lot of work to do. 8 weeks and counting......

I got this forward the other day....made me chuckle so I thought I would paste it.....hope you are all having a good week so far.....

A husband and wife are shopping in their local store and the husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their shopping cart.
'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife.
'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans,' he replies.
'Put it back, we can't afford that,' demands the wife and so he does and they carry on shopping.
A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the shopping cart.
'What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband.
'Its my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,' replies the wife.
Her husband retorts: 'So does 24 cans of Budweiser and its half the price.'

Trip to Washington DC!! And Dave and Liz got married!!! Woo hoo

Just got back from Virginia for Dave and Liz's wedding! It was beautiful!! It was actually in Fairfax, VA and the ceremony in Gainsville. I have not been to Virginia or DC so it was like a quick mini vacation too. On Friday, Ryan and I took the bus to the train and took the train to DC. It was a very neat experience. It was really sad being in DC on the day Tim Russert passed away. Ryan's friend from College works at the Capital for the Minnesota Senator so he gave us a behind the scenes tour. I took some pictures as you will see below. Later that night we went to Georgetown. It's super cute with nice shops and restaurants and bars. Another friend of Ryan's met us there too. On Saturday was the wedding festivities and the rain tried to hold off until after the ceremony. Liz looked beautiful and Dave, handsome....I don't have a picture of them together but I am hoping in the next couple days, I will have some forwarded to me.

Happy 30th Kelly!! (June 4th)

My internet was done for almost a week.....but, now it fixed, thank goodness!! Back to blogging. So, can we get a "Happy 30 to Kelly!!" This past weekend was Kelly's bday party at the new Harry Carry's. It was a lot of fun and great to see most of you there. Below are some pics too. The next morning, early morning, may I add, Ryan and I ran our first race for the Lincoln Park Zoo. It was really fun and I finished just 40 seconds behind Ryan. He has been helping me to run faster and I actually ran the fastest I have ever run for a 6 mile race. After that, we headed to Marina's to meet Baby Hendrix!!! What a babe!!!!! He is sooo cute and cuddly and little and perfect. Congrats again to Marina and Corey.

That's our Kelly!!
