Bonita Springs, FL
Just got back from Florida last night! Ryan had a sales meeting scheduled there and it was cancelled so we decided to go anyway and I am sooooo glad we did. It was so great. The timing was perfect as I have been feeling a bit overstressed with work lately. It was a 3 day trip that really felt a whole lot longer. We stayed at a Hyatt resort that I would recommend..in fact, I give it 5 stars!!! They even greeted the guests with champagne when you check in. And it smelled like fresh coconuts all over the hotel. There were a couple events and a wedding going on at the hotel as well. It is a beautiful place to have an event. We felt very relaxed and stress free! Thank goodness for vacations. I attached a few pics. And I made a friend with an alligator, kinda.

Not too much to report. I worked most of this weekend but was able to switch my Sunday for Monday so I could celebrate yet another 30th Birthday!! The year of the 30's as I call it!!! Happy 30th Alyson! Her friend was throwing her a surprise party. The funny thing is Alyson had organized a get together with some of her friends. Some of them responded that they could not come because they knew her friend was planning a surprise. Alyson knew I was working so she did not even bother telling me the details...but little did she know when I showed up!! She was surprised. This is where I decided I was a loser because all her friends were mentioning places we were going to go and I had never heard of the bars/clubs before...geez, what happened to my going out days? Anyway, we went to Hunt Club so Allie could dance into her thirties. This is also where I decided I was a loser yet again...my feet were killing me.....darn Target shoes...cute, but painful as hell. So, it was nice to hang out with Alyson's friends and see Devon, another nurse from nursing school. Today, I was quite the tired girl. But, I had my first Triathalon Seminar tonight. They are at Fleet Feet on certain Sunday nights. I was surprised how many people showed up. I think there was 50-75 people. I did not know anyone, but everyone was friendly and we all chatted so that was reassuring. They asked if anyone had run a triathalon before, and the whole group of 50-75 said no, so that was also reassuring to me. I learned quite abit about all the gear I need. I thought about doing a training group, but Kelly said I did not need it. I am still thinking about it. If my swimming is anything like my test taking abilities, we all know I could use the one on one help!! We will see I guess. After next weekend, I will have some hopefully warm pictures to post. Ryan and I are headed to Florida for a real quick trip. He had a planned business trip and asked me to come when it was over. It got cancelled by his company, but we decided it was a good time for us to get out and relax a bit from all the stresses lately! Have a good week everyone....

This past weekend!
If you saw Becky's or Lisa's blog, you would know we all headed to St. Louis for the weekend for Lisa's son's first bday! I left the pictures up to everyone else so if you check out their blogs...you will see all the wonderful pictures. It was such a good time and it was so nice to see Lisa's new house and hang with everyone and their kids that are growing up so fast!! Like I told everyone this past weekend, its amazing to me to stop and look back and think about how we all grew up together in highschool and now I am playing with their kids!! You are all so wonderful and it feels so good to have you in my life.
After we left St. Louis, Ryan wanted to stop at ISU. He has mentioned several times how he wanted to see where I went to College. I was ecstatic that he was interested! So, we stopped in Bloomington/Normal and I took him on the grand tour. I showed him our old dorms, our apartment, Avanti's, Tobins, he wanted to go in Braden and the library(he said he wanted to see where I spent all my time)...ha ha, not funny!! And then we ate the Pub. And yes.....we had cheese balls!!! How can you not? The beer specials were still 1.50 on some nights....so miss that!!! There was a lacrosse team in there celebrating after a game....they looked so happy and worryless. I miss those days. Not playing Lacrosse, but you know what I mean. It was great to be back there. I truely miss it and I loved loved college. Most importantly...thats where I met a group of great girls :) I have a picture of Haynie...where it all began.......

I have been waiting......
For a day like this since last fall!! Thank goodness for today....65 and sunny. I went to the lakefront for 2 hours. You could tell the look on everyone face's, its like everyone was breaking out of jail or something. I, myself, feel so refreshed. I was excited to use one of my bday presents. Ryan's mom and dad gave me this thing for my ipod that tells you the distance and and time and calories when you are exercising. It talks to you. You wear a chip on your shoe and it communicates with your ipod. So, its almost like your running buddy. There were even people laying out in their bathing suits!! I was not about to go that far but it is great to know that is all around the corner. I have been running around the lakefront for about 6 years now, and let me tell you, it never gets old. I just appreciate it more on days like today. Hope you are all having a great weekend!!!

Go Cubbies!!!
On Thursday, Ryan's friend had all inclusive tickets to start at Sluggers and then to the game. It was a little chilly but we had a lot of fun. It's hard to believe its baseball time with this horrible winter we have had but I am excited because this means warm weather and outdoor activities are starting. I think the next Cubs game will be with all of you that bought tickets from Kelly on May 13th! Yeah.
